This device marks the first C-series smartphone featuring the industry-leading IP69 Pro rating, and the C85 series has now officially earned the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for ‘Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Water-Resistance Test Simultaneously’.
This remarkable achievement took place at the Cilandak Sports Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. This milestone underscores the realme C85 Series’ innovative waterproofing technology and highlights realme’s commitment to delivering durable technology to a wide user base.
The record-setting challenge brought together 280 participants, each equipped with a realme C85 series phone. Standing side-by-side along the poolside, they submerged their devices simultaneously in a coordinated domino-style sequence. Every phone remained underwater for two minutes before being lifted at the same moment, and all units continued functioning normally,
successfully completing the official adjudication by Guinness World Records.
At the core of this accomplishment is the realme C85 Series’ all-new IP69 Pro water-resistance technology. As realme’s most advanced protection system to date, IP69 Pro surpasses four top-tier water resistance standards—IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66.
The technology’s durability was proven in extreme tests, surviving 30 minutes underwater at 6 meters and 60 days at 0.5 meters, all while remaining fully functional.
