Staff  Reporter  :  One of the major challenges facing students in today’s education system is the inability to achieve expected results despite extensive study, difficulty retaining learned material for the long term, and a loss of confidence inside examination halls. These issues have become a source of serious concern not only for students but also for parents and educators.
Against this backdrop, the guidance-oriented educational book “World of Knowledge” has been written to address these real and persistent problems. On the same day, the book was officially unveiled at several educational institutions, marking an important milestone in student-focused academic initiatives.
The unveiling ceremonies were held at H. K. Bipul Smriti High School, Daulatpur Union High School, Kocherchar Islamia Dakhil Madrasa, along with several other institutions. Following the ceremonies, copies of the book were formally handed over to the heads of the respective institutions for inclusion in their libraries.
The books were presented jointly by Mr. Manzil Sir and the author himself, Towfiq Sultan, a lecturer, writer, and research-oriented educator. This initiative has not only sparked interest in reading among students but has also instilled renewed optimism among teachers regarding meaningful learning reform.
The author of World of Knowledge, Towfiq Sultan, has been actively involved in the field of education for many years as a teacher, writer, and researcher. Rather than limiting himself to traditional classroom teaching, he has consistently sought solutions by engaging directly with students’ real-life academic struggles—such as mental pressure, fear of study, and frustration arising from repeated failure.
Throughout his teaching career, he has repeatedly observed that many students study for long hours yet forget everything once they enter the examination hall. Others understand concepts well but fail to perform due to a lack of memorization. These recurring experiences led him to question whether the problem lies in students’ abilities or in the learning methods themselves.
In search of answers, Towfiq Sultan combined his experiences from teacher training programs, educational research, and classroom practice. He realized that a deep disconnect exists in the current education system between understanding lessons, retaining knowledge, and applying it in real life. Many students study solely for examinations, resulting in short-term learning that fades immediately afterward. Others attempt deep understanding but lack effective memory-retention techniques,
preventing them from applying knowledge during exams or in practical life. This realization formed the core philosophy of World of Knowledge: learning must combine understanding with effective memorization. Only when comprehension and memorization work together does learning become permanent, practical, and meaningful.
The book presents effective study techniques in clear and accessible language. It explains how students can retain lessons for a long time, achieve better results with less study, overcome exam fear, and answer questions with confidence.
The book serves as a practical guide, especially for students who are academically weak, forget lessons easily, or experience mental blocks during exams. It emphasizes that learning should neither rely solely on rote memorization nor remain limited to conceptual understanding alone. When study is made enjoyable and connected to real-life applications, learning becomes natural and long-lasting.
A notable strength of World of Knowledge is that it does not focus solely on examination results. The book explores topics such as the science of memory, psychology, brain health, the importance of regular practice, time management, and concentration-building techniques. It also incorporates Islamic perspectives on knowledge, ethics, and moral responsibility. According to the author,
knowledge bestowed by Allah is the greatest source of light in human life, and when acquired with sincere intention and used for the welfare of humanity, it benefits both individuals and society as a whole.
The book further discusses brain-friendly nutrition, methods for maintaining mental well-being, and strategies for applying knowledge in daily life.
Additionally, it offers practical guidance for those who possess writing skills but have been unable to generate income from them. In an era overwhelmed by misinformation, the book highlights methods for identifying authentic information,
developing research-oriented thinking, and cultivating intellectual integrity. As a result, World of Knowledge is not only beneficial for students but also for teachers, parents, and young researchers.
During the unveiling ceremonies, principals and head teachers from various institutions expressed high appreciation for the book. They described it as a timely and necessary contribution in a predominantly rote-based education system.
According to them, the book has the potential to transform students’ study habits, reduce fear of learning, and foster genuine academic interest. Beyond academic success, the book provides guidance for becoming thoughtful, ethical, and responsible individuals.
In conclusion, World of Knowledge is built upon the fundamental belief that method determines outcome. The book stands as a practical example of how a single work can transform a student’s study habits, mindset, and even life goals.
The unveiling ceremonies were not merely formal book launches; they represented a meaningful step toward redefining how students learn. For those who wish to make learning easier, more enjoyable, and more effective—and who aspire to turn knowledge into a lifelong asset and source of income—World of Knowledge is undoubtedly a timely and valuable contribution.
