Staff Reporter : This digital 3D (3D) animation monitor has been inaugurated at Ad-Din Women’s Medical College located in the capital’s Moghbazar. The animation monitor was inaugurated at the college’s anatomy department around 11 am on Tuesday.
3D animation is a software that makes textbooks easier to understand for students through 3D animation, videos, and interactive tools. 3D animation monitors display human body parts, blood It is possible to show operations, or complex surgical procedures, in 3-D, which is much more effective than book images or simple videos.
Speaking at the event were Professor Dr. Nahid Yasmin, Director General of Ad-Din Hospital and Nursing, Professor Dr. Mahmuda Hasan, Principal of Ad-Din Women’s Medical College, Professor Dr. A. B. M. Omar Faruk, Head of the Department of Anatomy, and others.
Speakers at the event said that 3D animation technology is used to improve the quality of medical education and to explain anatomy or complex diseases. Converting textbooks into 3D animations makes difficult topics come alive and interesting, which helps students understand and increases their interest in learning. It is a powerful training tool for new doctors and students.
Teachers from various departments of the Medical College and students from the Anatomy Department were present at the event.
