Staff  Reporter  :  Robi Axiata PLC’s Managing Director and CEO, Ziad Shatara, recently paid a courtesy visit to Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA).

Marking his first official engagement as Robi’s CEO, the meeting underscored the shared commitment of both organizations to strengthening public–private collaboration and fostering a more dynamic investment climate in Bangladesh.

During the discussion, Ziad Shatara highlighted Robi’s strategic priorities and long-term investment outlook, reaffirming the company’s strong commitment to driving sustainable industry growth, expanding nationwide digital connectivity, and contributing meaningfully to Bangladesh’s national development agenda.He also expressed sincere appreciation for the continued support and constructive engagement extended by BIDA and BEZA under the leadership of Ashik Chowdhury.

Robi’s Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer, Shahed Alam, and Director of Public Affairs and Sustainability, Sharif Shah Jamal Raz, were also present at the meeting.
